Music that transforms my worst experiences into something Beautiful

In 2017 I recieved a grant from Canada Council for the Arts to explore the emergent properties of sound when digitally reversing the piano. Halfway through my research I lost my father to mental illness and was no longer able to engage with the electro acoustic experiments. It felt like the backwards sound was now also attempting to turn back time. Instead of pushing away the grief I decided I would lean into it and use my research as the beginning of a transformative album.

Since its release in January 2025, The Icarus Album has recieved glowing critical reviews and unforseen success on streaming. I am so happy to share it with the world! Icarus Live had its debut performance in late 2024 and will begin touring again later this year. In the meantime I am hard at work on my sophomore release Persephone.
